Travel & Global Perspectives
A global perspective, rooted at home
Erica’s work has taken her across borders and cultures — always returning to the same conviction that first moved her at sixteen: that communities everywhere deserve a voice.
Countries visited — bringing a global perspective to her work while remaining deeply connected to her roots in California’s farmworker communities.
-Yucatán, Mexico
Fighting deforestation on the ground
After being honored with the Jane Goodall Global Leadership Award, Erica spent two summers in the dry tropical forest of Yucatan working on a reforestation project as part of Proyecto Itzaes– trading policy work for fieldwork, planting, composting, and recycling alongside local communities.
-Baja California, Mexico
Organizing across the border
As a Field Organizing Specialist for the Solidarity Center, Erica worked directly with farmworkers and maquila workers in Mexico, applying the same organizing principles that shaped her own childhood in the fields.
-Puebla, Mexico
Taking the stage internationally
Erica has spoken at Ciudad de las Ideas, one of the largest ideas conferences in Latin America, sharing her story with audiences far beyond the communities where it began.
Rooted in community. Experienced in leadership. Global in perspective. Focused on transformation.
Bring a global perspective to your event
Erica presents in English, Spanish, and Portuguese for audiences across the U.S. and Latin America.
